Espresso Clerk (Food Services)
If you love coffee then we believe you will love our coffee bar! We have an exciting position as a PT Barista at our Yorktown Heights, NY Espresso Bar! This position requires the individual to be 18 years of age or older and available with weekend/holiday flexibility.
Our Baristas are responsible for making and serving beverages to customers at Uncle G's Marketplace. This position will greet customers, prepare hot and cold beverages and serve the customer. Serving the customer with a smile and a friendly approach is necessary while performing all job functions and duties. Some food items are within the Espresso bar and may be served with a customer order.
Responsibilities
Our Baristas will greet customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink ordersWill prepare and serve beverages, ranging from simple to more complex drinksPromoting and recommending menu options to customersWill be responsible for processing payment from customersWill maintain a clean, sanitized and organized work stationAdditional duties and functions as assigned
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of ageRequires a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a server or baristaExcellent listening and communication skillsA strong focus on customer satisfaction is required for this positionPractice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beveragesMust be efficient and organizedMust be able to speak, read and understand the English language

Working Conditions
Most of the time is spent moving about continuously on hard surfaces. There may be a need to frequently position oneself to examine and/or scan merchandise, including bending, climbing, crawling, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping.May require lifting objects up to 30 pounds. May require lifting and moving heavy and/or awkward objects more than 30 pounds with assistance.Usually in a comfortable indoor environment surrounded by moving machinery and/or loud equipment that may require shouting in order to be heard. There could be exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and/or coolers.
