Communications Manager (Marketing)
What You Will Do?
Join us as our new Communications Manager for the US Region, and you will play a pivotal role in enhancing communication channels to thousands of our employees throughout our 17 manufacturing and distribution centers. Reaching and engaging our front-line workforce is critical for our company's health and overall success. Your focus will result in culture-building, promoting and protecting our reputation, and positioning Clarios as a preferred place to work. This role is an individual contributor, not a department manager. The focus is 80% on internal communication and 20% on external communication.
How Will You Do It?
Strategic Communications: Collaborate with plant leadership and local HR to share corporate messages and announcements while building our reputation in our local communities.
Social Media Leadership: Manage the US social media channels. Create engaging content, support internal clients, and foster a sense of community among our employees.
Internal Campaigns: We celebrate and recognize longevity, safety week, quality week, and all battery-related holidays. Drive impactful campaigns and mine meaningful stories from our manufacturing sites to share broadly with the global organization.
Media Relations & Community Engagement: Manage media relations in plant cities and proactively place stories in local media outlets. Keep up with local leaders and government contacts to raise awareness about our company's initiatives and achievements.
Charitable Giving and Sponsorships: You'll work hand-in-hand with corporate teams to provide strategic guidance on what works and encourage activities in our various locations.
Measurement and Analytics: Monitor the effectiveness of communication efforts.
What We Look For?
Bachelor's degree in communications or a closely related field
6-8 years of professional experience in developing communication plans that drive results with PR and media relations experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferably, someone with manufacturing savvy and familiarity.
Preferably, someone with experience being a company spokesperson and exposure to crisis communication best practices.
The ability to travel at least 20% of the time, more at the outset of the job.
