Director of Marketing & Advertising (Project Management)
The Director of Marketing advocates for customers and potential customers with everything we do. Responsible for crafting breakthrough, relevant Go-To-Market plans, this person will be a dynamic and strategic leader who brings energy and passion into the business and who will encourage and inspire collaboration among a broad group of stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Represent the voice of the customer, keeping the brand, brand voice and Go-To-Market plans laser focused on solving their problems and delivering a great experience.
• Deliver compelling, differentiated, and relevant storytelling to elevate the AF brand position in every community we serve.
• Develop overarching Go-To-Market strategies for AF – identifying the key segments, customers and key products and services to deliver the company's business goals.
• Lead the marketing team in crafting strategic campaigns to drive awareness and consideration among key customer groups generating traffic for AF stores – including advertising, PR and social media.
• Build cohesive grand-opening plans to not only attract the right customer but also to ensure key internal stakeholders have the knowledge and skills to support the events.
• Lead the team in ensuring seamless communication plans for internal audiences.
• Collaborate on identifying and crafting sales enablement materials critical in delivering an outstanding customer experience.
• Elevate AF's digital experience ensuring the brand website delivers an attractive and modern customer experience.
• Influence and elevate field marketing strategies by providing coordinated campaign solutions and turnkey execution elements for store management to use.
Team Leadership
• When needed, build, manage and mentor an impactful marketing team ensuring unified approaches and cohesive collaboration.
• Integrate across business units with colleagues in Merchandising, Store Operations, Real Estate and other areas of the business critical to the company's success.
• Agile and adept at accomplishing much with limited resources.
• Prepare reports and deliver presentations to the Executive Team around marketing data/analytics and metrics.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets, and allocate resources appropriately.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in related field (prefer Business/Marketing/Communications).
• 10+ years of proven experience in a variety of marketing, product management, communications, or sales positions.
• 5+ years of Director level experience leading team members in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or event management.

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, American Freight provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and cultural fit. The range of starting pay for this role is $$135,000 - $150,000 per year.
