Manager, Safety (Finance)
• Designs and implements safety programs and recommends ways to improve health and safety in the facility.
• Stays up to date on state and federal workplace safety regulations.
• Conducts safety training for employees regarding required OSHA topics and other health and safety procedures.
• Conducts audits, identifies health and safety hazards and develops corrective actions
• Coaches supervisors on recognition of safety hazards and employee interaction to eliminate safety exposures.
• Creates and presents reports detailing health and safety issues to management team.
• Fields inquiries from employees about proper safety procedures.
• Responds to on-site emergencies and accidents. Investigates on-the-job accidents and writes up reports.
• Identifies hazards or faults that caused the accident and devises strategic plan to remedy those problems.
• Monitors workplace on a daily basis to ensure all activity meets safety compliance.
JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in industrial Hygiene, Occupational or Industrial Safety or related field is required. Certificate in Safety Management (CSM) is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of OHSA guidelines.
• Demonstrates strong leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills and attention to detail, proficiency in computer skills to include MS Office and database management.
• Communicates details of safety procedures clearly to employees.
• Exhibits ability to think practically and creatively to implement the best safety practices.
• Responds quickly and efficiently to emergency situations.
• Exercises caution and alertness at all times.

Ability to work across functional departments to promote safety culture throughout the facility and awareness to reduce exposures.
