Kleinfelder's Morrisville (Raleigh) NC office is seeking a Field Engineer to join our team.
Our Field Engineers perform routine field and laboratory tests and inspections for purpose of verifying conformance to construction plans and specifications. A successful candidate must be able to follow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintain cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
Additionally, the candidate must be capable of clear and concise verbal and written communications (i.e. preparing daily reports and data sheets), have the ability to operate with close to moderate supervision and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
The position would primarily serve as a Lead Inspector / Lead Field Engineer on large, vertical construction projects.
Field Engineers will:
One (1) year or more experience in Construction Materials Engineering & Testing and Special Inspections, including applicable licenses and certifications.
EIT is required or able to obtain within 6 months.
Preference will be given to those with a background in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical with a lot of soil field engineering and testing experience.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. The ideal candidate will have a strong, technical background, the ability to provide technical support on projects with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
