Cloud Administrator (Finance)

Responsible for managing and optimizing an organization's use of multiple cloud platforms, ensuring seamless integration and efficient resource management across different providers like Azure, AWS, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC). Focus on reducing dependency on a single provider to avoid vendor lock-in, implementing consistent security policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and monitoring performance to maintain optimal reliability and performance across all cloud environments.

Essential Position Responsibilities - This is a Salry Exempt position

Possesses extensive experience in Azure Cloud Administration , deploys, configures, and manages resources including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Storage Sync Services, Resource Groups, and Tagging. Implement effective backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies for Azure-hosted applications, and monitor and maintain security and performance. Managing RBAC and policies to secure Azure resources and ensure compliance with data protection policies is also within their skill set.

AWS Cloud Administration: adept at deploying, configuring, and managing resources such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and VPC. They implement robust backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies for AWS-hosted applications, while also monitoring and maintaining security and performance. Managing IAM roles and policies to secure AWS resources and ensure compliance with data protection policies is a critical aspect of their expertise.

Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) Administration configures and maintains OIC integrations, adaptors, and components to support enterprise applications. Excel in managing and troubleshooting OIC interfaces to ensure high availability and optimal performance, developing integration flows, monitoring data flows, and performing performance tuning.

Automation and scripting : Uses tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and operational tasks. Develop and maintain scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Bash for administration and automation purposes.

System monitoring and troubleshooting : Sets up and manages monitoring tools for OIC, AWS, and Azure to proactively address issues and ensure service reliability. Conduct root cause analysis on incidents, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement resolutions, ensuring compliance with SLAs and collaborating with support teams to provide solutions.

Maintains comprehensive documentation for architecture , configurations, and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards related to data security and privacy.

Participates as a member of the Team . Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues, e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position's role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: Enters and locates information on a computer. Visually verifies information, often in small print. Move about in an office or manufacturing environment and surrounding property. May travel via car or plane to various work locations.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): As required by visiting the facility.

Travel: Approximately 10-15% travel, including travel to Simmons facilities, one to two offsite classes or conferences per year, and to Simmons offices. Must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a passport.

Technical Experience: 4 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, IT Engineering, IT Architecture or in a similar role.

Industry Experience: Preference for food processing organization.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Services, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree/work experience or 4 years related experience.

Preferred Education: MS degree in Information Services, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree. Multiple Cloud Architecture relevant certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Cloud Engineer, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure Administrator).
