Kitchen Staff (Wedge Linden Hills) (Food Services)
The kitchen staff position washes all dishes from both back and front of house, and completes prep cooking tasks, all while maintaining an extremely high level of cleanliness that exceeds health code while contributing to a positive and safe workspace for all.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wash and put away dishes used by kitchen and front of house.
De-lime dishwasher, complete weekly cleaning and organizing projects, according to schedule, and keep the dish area in a high state of cleanliness.
Cook and package Rotisserie chickens, clean Rotisserie equipment.
Pack and label prepared foods as needed.
Complete prep shifts in the kitchen preparing items such as: Vegetable processing, grain and pasta cooking, sandwich prep and assembly and other prep while following all food safety procedures.
Foster positive relationships and direct communication with all co-workers and between all departments.
Work in a safe manner, following all safety procedures, food safety requirements, and foster a safe, positive, an inclusive work environment.
Complete any other tasks assigned by Prepared Foods Assistant Manager or Prepared Food Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
Friendly, flexible, and courteous with co-workers. Stays calm in stressful situations and is willing to do last minute tasks.
Follows manager's instructions, policies, and procedures.
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills in absence of a manager.
Communicates all problems and issues to a shift lead and/or manager promptly.
Is positive and accepting of feedback and critique.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Repeated bending and lifting
Exposure to temperature extremes (both hot and cold)
Exposure to cleaning solutions
Working with knives, ovens, and stove tops
Standing and walking for an 8 hour shift
Manual dexterity
