Job Summary
This position is accountable for managing all aspects of Radiation Protection and Chemistry in conformance with regulations, commitments, industry and company standards. This role ensures activities are completed in accordance with standardized company fleet practices, policies and procedures. The manager maintains or drives radiation protection and chemistry programs to minimize worker and public dose and the spread of contamination.This position is also accountable for managing all aspects for asset preservation at the station. Control and implement programs for plant chemistry, radiochemistry, solid/liquid/gaseous effluent control, and environmental compliance (e.g. perform primary chemistry control, perform radiochemical analysis, chemical treatment of closed cooling systems IAW EPRI Guidelines), Develop and maintain procedures related to chemistry and environmental, Manage data (e.g. record, store and trend chemistry parameters),Interface with regulatory bodies on chemistry issues (e.g. all EPA permit maintenance/state interfaces) and control of chemicals as maintained by the Chemical Control Program.
Responsible for the 5 Year Dose Reduction Plan and the Source Term Reduction Plan
