Aviation Support Assistant (Finance)
Overview
We are seeking a full-time Aviation Support Assistant in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for providing general administrative support to the Director, Aviation Support and Aviation Support team, including maintenance of service center records as part of the Garmin Avionics Service Center Certification Program.
Essential Functions
- Assist with the coordination of functions and training events and other administrative tasks as assigned
- General administrative support including reception duties for Aviation Support facility
- Review, record and route associate expense reports for approval
- Track and update Service Center Certification records and database
- Coordinate and support internal and external training classes
- Review, record and route promotional item orders and material transfers
- Assist with associate business travel coordination
- Identify/recommend improvements in Garmin products, documentation, and procedures
- Ensure all customer and Garmin business information is maintained in strict confidence consistent with the associate's contractual confidentiality obligations as well as the Proprietary Information/Confidentiality provisions set forth in Garmin's Associate Handbook
- Represent Garmin at industry and professional meetings, conferences, and trade shows as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND a minimum of 2 years administrative support experience
- Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access
- Demonstrated proficiency using Personal Computers in office automation applications
- Must be detail-oriented, have the ability to work proactively/effectively with minimal supervision, and is able to prioritize/multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
- Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
- Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
- Oracle ERP software application experience
- Previous aviation industry experience
