Funding Optimization Coordinator (Finance)
Job Summary:
The Funding Optimization Coordinator will evaluate all avenues of funding available for patients at Highlands Oncology. This role aims to optimize the utilization of assistance programs to minimize financial toxicity for both patients and the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assistance Management: Proactively identify and activate patient assistance options through external grants and foundations, focusing on optimizing funding to benefit both patients and Highlands Oncology.
Financial Monitoring: Regularly monitor patient accounts to assess the best use of available assistance, prioritizing grant utilization over patient program assistance where appropriate.
Balance Assessment: Identify patients with high medication costs and explore available funding options to alleviate financial burdens.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records in designated channels to ensure effective communication across all relevant departments.
Collaboration: Work closely with clinic and billing staff to address insurance, funding, and patient balance issues effectively.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in identifying and implementing process improvements and assist in departmental planning initiatives.
Training Support: Assist in the onboarding and training of new team members as requested by leadership.
In general, this person will be expected to work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm and will be located in our Springdale location.
