Noran Neurology has an opening for a Care Team Coordinator in the Neuropsychology department. This is a fast-paced administrative position providing support for the neuropsychology department while managing a high volume of patient calls. The ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently is a must. Attention to detail is key in this position. As a care team coordinator, you will work collaboratively with our neuropsychology team members, as well as other department staff to provide high quality care for our patients. One year experience in a clinical setting is preferred. This position is full-time, 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am-3pm. This position is hybrid once training is complete. The Care Team Coordinator manages and maintains neuropsychology schedules to help optimize the use of provider time and resources. Care Team Coordinators will use a variety of communication tools and systems to handle medical information requests and updates, as well as field incoming phone calls. The Care Team Coordinator will maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation for each patient encounter and continually look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow. Major Areas of Responsibility: Answering phone calls, taking and delivering messages to providers and patients by phone, verbally, or electronically.Maintaining close communication with the neuropsychology team.Preparing all necessary paperwork in a timely manner including but not limited to; prior authorizations, FLMA forms, work ability forms, orders/referrals, and work notes.Continuously improving work processes, environment, and overall experience to serve patients and meet clinic goals.Managing cancel/fail encounters, reviewing the cancel /fail history accurately, reporting this information to provider and mailing letters according to the providers response.Effectively managing and maintaining providers appointment schedule, ensures schedules are full and appropriate appointment types are maintained throughout Primary Accountabilities: Reviews personal desktop, flags, and fax/scanning folder in a timely manner.Efficient handling of calls.Scheduling patient appointments.Ensures prepared forms and paperwork are processed timely and accurately.Professionally represents the clinic and strengthens communication and relationships with patients. Expectations: Ability to comprehend and follow provider orders.Ability to follow rules and guidelines for appropriate chart documentation.Document accurate messages according to phone note protocol.Synchronize appointments to ensure results are available at time of follow up.Ability to identify issues with order completion.
