Infrastructure Engineer
*This position is hybrid-remote and requires travel to locations in the Greater Austin, TX area.*

What you will do:
The Infrastructure Engineer will design, deploy, and maintain the credit union's enterprise network, cloud, and on-premises infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and resilience. They will manage Cisco networking technologies, virtualization environments, and cloud services like Microsoft Azure while implementing best practices for performance optimization and disaster recovery. This role will also be responsible for network security, compliance with industry regulations, and automation using tools such as PowerShell and Ansible. Additionally, the Infrastructure Engineer will collaborate with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance infrastructure reliability, support business-critical applications, and drive innovation through emerging technologies.
Your Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in network and infrastructure engineering roles.
- Certification in CCNA and Microsoft Azure AZ-104 required.
- Certification in VMware VCP, CCNP, CCIE, AZ-303/AZ-140, CompTIA Network+, Security+, Linux+, or equivalent preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, ACI, ISE, DNAC).
- Experience in managing enterprise backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Excellent written and verbal team-based communication skills.
- Skilled in network monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, and other infrastructure health management tools.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment to analyze and diagnose problems and issues in industry-specific applications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills including the ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize work tasks.
- Ownership of the customer experience through issue resolution.
- Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared and feedback and coaching are welcomed.
- Ability to travel between HQ, data centers, branch locations, and ATM sites as required in the Austin Metro Area.
