Implement tactical and operational data center activities in support of the business goals and objectives
Maintain technologies including performance and resource needs to meet business objectives
Implement data center standards, processes, and procedures
Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security
Design, develop and implement highly available, multi-region solutions within Microsoft Azure
Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot new server installations, both physical and virtual
Adhere to and perform business continuity and disaster recovery plans
Research, evaluate, and recommend system technologies to support business requirements
Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformedand modernized
Design and review performance and capacity of on premise and cloud resources to comply with company financial goals and budget
Analyze existing operational standards, processes and governance to identify and implement improvements
Create and maintain documentation for all processes and procedures
Proactive monitoring of all servers, applications, and services using a combination of tools to ensure high availability
Participate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and on-call availability as needed
Ability to implement SQL database patches and perform backup and recovery procedures
Education:
Associate's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred
Experience:
Minimum of (4) years of IT related experience with strong skills in areas such as Virtualization, Storage, and Networks required
Minimum of (2) years' experience with Windows Server, IIS/Apache servers, Azure cloud, TCP/IP, and related technologies required
Skills and Competencies:
Strong troubleshooting skills required
LAN, SAN, are highly desirable
Proficient project management skills
Show articulate written and verbal communication skills
Experience authoring technical documentation
Ability to work in a fast-paced innovative environment
Preferred knowledge of or willingness to achieve certification:
AZ-305 Designing Azure Infrastructure Solutions
