Role Summary
50 South Capital ( www.50southcapital.com ) is the alternatives investment group within Northern Trust, one of the world's largest asset management firms, with over $1.3 trillion in assets under management. 50 South Capital's private equity group makes primary, secondary, and direct co-investments in buyout, venture capital, and private credit funds and companies in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. The team has extensive experience investing in the industry and has been led by its founding partners since 2000. The Firm oversees over $14.5 billion in assets and is experiencing rapid growth.
50 South Capital is seeking to add a senior investment professional in their Chicago headquarters to be part of a growing investment team primarily to source, diligence, execute, and monitor private credit fund commitments. This senior individual will contribute to investment decision making across all of 50 South Capital's funds and strategies, including primaries, secondaries, co-investments and private credit. In addition, this individual will be responsible for assisting in designing new private credit offerings, fundraising efforts, portfolio monitoring and other special projects. The selected candidate will exhibit strong investment analytics as well as strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills. We are seeking candidates with excellent academic achievements, 12+ years of relevant industry experience, and advanced skills in investment analytics, business writing, and presenting.

Salary Range:
$225,000 to $350,000 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
