- Influence business decisions based on analyses based on available pricing and research tools as well as on company pricing and promotional guidelines
- Provide solutions to support pricing initiatives with an eye on protecting brand perception, protecting and growing market share, and attaining financial goals
- Develop pricing strategies to deliver optimum gallon growth and profit while ensuring they align with overall company branding and pricing strategies
- Model the impact of proposed price strategies in terms of gallons and margin, against budget and goals
- Assess new and existing markets to identify areas of opportunities and develop strategies
- Collaborate with other teams to establish a suitable competitive price survey schedule
- Develop guidelines that will ensure legal compliance with state specific legislation
- Define reporting enhancements that will enhance pricing recommendations and price management system related projects
- Develop & present pricing strategy information to senior leadership
- Communicate pricing trends and insights to business, articulate impacts on the company's current strategy and recommend solutions
- Mentor and provide direction to direct reports
- Drive accountability within the team to seek out strategic opportunities to maximize sales, market share and margin
- Travel to markets and assigned locations to review and characterize all fuel competition relative to Kroger fuel facilities
