Employment Coordinator (Finance)
Ability Building Community (ABC) is looking for an Employment Coordinator to join our amazing team in Rochester!
About ABC:The mission of Ability Building Community (ABC) is to provide services for individuals with disabilities through community inclusion. ABC has provided work supports, recreation/leisure activities, and independent living services to people with disabilities in the Rochester, Caledonia, and La Crescent, MN areas since 1956.
About the Job:
The Employment Coordinator will develop and implement program services for the Individualized Employment Services department, which includes providing job exploration, job development, job training, implementation of program plans, and providing direct supervision and job coaching to persons with disabilities in community-based, competitive employment.
Job responsibilities include:
Assisting individuals with identifying their own unique abilities and vocational potential, and develop existing skills to gain and maintain meaningful employment.
Participating in admission meetings with individuals and their individual support teams in order to identify needs in the areas of vocational planning.
Assisting with creation of individual resumes and completion of applications.
Providing written and verbal communication to individual support teams on the progress and/or needs of program individuals as related to vocational planning/development.
Providing support services in the area of job coaching, program implementation, billing and advocacy.
Educating community employers on vocational services, agency mission/vision and the disability field.
Schedule is typically Monday through Friday, daytime hours, but also must be available for some evening and weekend hours, as needed.
Starting wage is $22.00 per hour plus benefits, with a shift differential of $1.00/hour for any evening (after 6:00pm) and weekend hours worked.
