Job Overview

The Programming Intern supports Genmab's drug development efforts by gaining hands-on experience in clinical and statistical programming during a 10-week paid summer internship. The role offers exposure to data mapping (SDTM), analysis dataset creation (ADaM), and statistical reporting (TLF) through practical assignments and mentorship. The intern will work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to real-world programming challenges, tool development, and a capstone project that demonstrate tangible impact on drug developments.

What you'll do:

• Assist in the development, validation, and QC analysis of datasets, tables, figures, and listings using SAS, R, and/or Python.
• Support the in-house production of clinical trial data summaries and visualizations for decision making.
• Participate in the creation and automation of technical documents and programming tools to streamline data mapping and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with mentors and cross-functional teams (e.g., Biostatistics, Data Management) to review data mapping requirements and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Engage in a capstone project that addresses an actual programming assignment, such as automating TLF plans or developing standard graphs and GUIs using R.
• Participate in mentorship meetings and contribute to team discussions on process improvements and best practices.
• Provide support on ad-hoc programming assignments and QC activities to ensure consistency and data integrity.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Enrollment in a Master's or PhD program in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of clinical or statistical programming concepts.
• Academic experience with open-source programming languages (e.g., R, Python); familiarity with SAS is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Genuine interest in clinical research and drug development.

General Intern Information

Internships will take place June through August, 2025 and be based in Plainsboro, NJ. This role will operate on a required hybrid schedule - 3 days in the office and 2 days remote per week.
