The Equipment and Reliability Intern shadows Maintenance Technician colleagues to gain a better understanding of electrical and mechanical components and devices and reports to the Equipment Reliability Manager.
In this role, you will:
Gain a better understanding of the electrical and mechanical components.
Support one or more experienced Maintenance Technicians in meeting both departmental and corporate objectives.
Assist in repair and replacement of mechanical machine components and mechanical devices
Read and interpret electrical and mechanical prints.
Assist Maintenance Technicians across all platforms in the facility to deliver on safety, quality and cost.
Support planned activities and start-ups for preventative maintenance, grade changes, first time runs and special projects.
Communicate orally and in writing any changes on electrical and mechanical processes to effected groups in the mill.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and keeping work area clean.
May participate in continuous improvement activities.
Become a co-owner of Lube room.
Run Predictive routes. (Air Leak survey, Ultra Sonic, etc.)
Help rebuild stocked parts for our Refurb program (Bearing Housings, Cutting Modules, etc.)

In one of our manufacturing roles, you'll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Are 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States.
Have a state and/or US Department of Education accredited high school diploma or GED Grade 12 certificate.
Have 1+ years of continuous work experience.
Have basic computer knowledge, mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
Able to maintain a work schedule of 12-hour rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime.
Can pass a pre-employment assessment and a pre-employment drug + background screening.
Can pass post-offer / pre-hire Physical Abilities Test (PAT).
Must have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.75 after each completed semester/term.
Must be currently enrolled in a Technical College Program pursuing an associate degree or a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor's degree.
Role model all Safety Requirements including Electrical Safe Working Practices, Hazard Recognition, and PPE.
Adhere to all Quality Requirements including strict Gowning and Hygiene requirements.
Must be able to wear the required PPE while performing tasks.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds twice each hour.
Ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and ramps.
Perform bending, twisting, stooping, and crouching movements.

Starting Hourly Wage: $22.00 USD
Total rewards at Kimberly-Clark includes the above starting wage offer and is eligible for overtime pay. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
This role is available for local candidates already authorized to work in the role's country only. Kimberly-Clark will not provide relocation support for this role.
