What You Will Do
The Manager Operations is responsible for providing leadership and expertise to ensure operational excellence in production, compliance, and process improvements. They will manage resources, foster collaboration, and drive efficiency in packaging or processing to ensure that safety, compliance, customer service and continuous improvement goals are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy :
● Lead cross-functional teams to meet production goals, reduce variability, and enhance operational effectiveness.
● Demonstrates coaching, caring and inclusive behaviors on an ongoing basis, including having
meaningful, regular conversations with all team members about their performance and career.
● Contributes and supports an environment that fosters diversity and inclusion.
● Act as a mentor and coach, driving employee engagement, performance, and team development.
● Hire, develop, and retain shift leadership by providing coaching in technical and leadership areas.
● Foster a safety, compliance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
● Evaluate, develop, and implement performance management and development training plans to enhance team capabilities.
Operational Excellence:
● Optimize production flow and manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods to achieve scheduled production goals.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., EHS, Quality, Tech Ops) to ensure alignment with business goals and priorities.
● Develop and implement cost control measures, quality requirements, and improvement plans to meet site goals.
● Lead and support the transfer of new products into manufacturing processes that can successfully repeated consistently.
Continuous Improvement:
● Lead lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and kaizen events to drive process improvements.
● Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective/preventative actions to resolve operational challenges.
● Track and analyze key performance indicators to identify trends and implement improvement initiatives.
Compliance and Safety:
● Ensure strict adherence to GMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
● Promote a safe workplace by addressing hazards and enforcing safety protocols.
● Participate in audits and maintain compliance with quality systems and standards.
Technical Expertise:
● Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, providing solutions or escalating for technical support.
● Demonstrated analytical skills, with a process and data driven orientation.
● Act as a subject matter expert in process operations, driving knowledge transfer and training.
● Oversee installation, maintenance, and optimization of equipment for maximum efficiency.
Communication and Reporting:
● Maintain and communicate performance metrics and trends to stakeholders.
● Review and approve standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure documentation accuracy.
● Ensure all team members are trained and compliant with job-specific requirements.
● Communicates effectively to all levels of the organization, including presenting information and
responding to questions or complex inquiries from groups of employees, managers, and internal customers.
● Translates company strategy into appropriate and executable plans for the site manufacturing team members while providing direction, prioritization, decision making, and development opportunities.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
● 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing or operations management.
● Demonstrated results in operations and supply chain leadership.
● Knowledge of FDA and cGMP regulations and audit management.
● Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate.
● Proven expertise in process improvement methodologies like Lean Six Sigma.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex operational challenges.
Desired Qualifications
● Green Belt or Black Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma.
● Experience with GMP environments, audits, and EHS standards.
● Experience in compliance, quality control, and equipment management.
● Demonstrated effective decision-making and problem-solving. Fluent knowledge of industry, and regulatory standards.
● Advanced proficiency in SAP, MES, or other ERP systems.
● Knowledge of JJPS or similar lean frameworks.
● MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

• Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $98,000 - $167,900. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
