Overview of the Position
Our store associates are here to ensure our customers have an amazing shopping experience. Beyond that, you are responsible for achieving your individual sales goals and contributing to the store's sales goals while maintaining S&B's merchandising and housekeeping standards.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
• Provide excellent customer service according to S&B standards on the selling floor, in the fitting room, and at the cash wrap
• Actively work with garments, including receiving, ticketing, stocking, and merchandising, per S&B guidelines
• Ring sales on the register, receive and process cash and credit payment, issue receipts and pack merchandise for our customers
• Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting cash, processing charge slips, coupons, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits
• Additional specific skills are required for individual positions.
SKILL SET
• Excellent customer service skills are essential
• Commitment to a flexible schedule
• Math competency to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, and percentages
• Basic computer skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE PROFILE:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• A high school diploma or G.E.D. is essential, Associate degree is preferred, along with 6 months - 2 years of retail experience
