The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for leading and supporting the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) 760 Support department's daily and ongoing tasks associated with FERC Order 760 compliance. This includes collaborating closely with the FERC 760 team (department, ITS partners and Markets SMEs) to manage requests from the FERC Division of Surveillance and Analytics (DAS) and compliance requirements associated with market updates and/or changes per the FERC Order.
Essential Functions:
Learn the business – develop an understanding of FERC 760 business functions, processes, Order 760 and manage/coordinate, and communicate requirements and understanding across the SME markets support teams
Establish, monitor and maintain high client satisfaction levels to including managing and triaging all inquiries from FERC
Document, track and resolve problems utilizing various internal documentation tools to include FERC's tool to coordinate, communicate and resolve all inquiries
Document, update and manage all department and FERC 760 process documentation as required
Work closely with the department manager in developing and documenting work plans, including scope, milestones, release schedules, resources and deliverables on an annual and ongoing basis
Regularly develop status reports regarding teams quarterly progress on annual work plan
Develop business use cases, manage PJM Data Model Documentation requirements and validate metadata in preparation for delivery to FERC
Monitor and manage all FERC Order 760 related requirements and timelines to ensure compliance at all times
Characteristics & Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent work experience
At least 4 years of experience
Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis
Experience using verbal and written communications skills
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail
Ability to visualize and solve complex problems
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
Experience supporting any of PJM Committees
Experience with PJM markets data/functions
Experience with FERC Order 760 and/or compliance functions
Data model documentation/metadata analysis skills or experience
