Material Handler II - Aurora, IL (Transportation)
Position Summary
Perform duties to package products for shipment to distributors and customers, load trucks and maintain the required level of stock while assuring product quality during shipping.

What You'll Do:
Work from packing slips, bills of lading, and instructions to:
1. Pick orders off shelving and high rack units and place in holding area for packing.
2. Pack products and parts, using standard and custom boxes, inserting necessary documentation and adding packing material to stabilize cartons. Create custom boxes as needed.
3. Seal and label shipping boxes for transportation.
4. Load and unload trucks, using forklift as required.
5. Move stock to racks for storage.
6. Restock shelves for order picking as required.
7. Prepare special product kits (shop orders) for special accounts as requested. Apply bar code labels. Pick and pack orders and prepare for shipment.
8. Prepare packed boxes for shipment by palletizing, wrapping, and banding.
9. Train new employees on distribution activities.
10. IFS knowledge (we need to say what we would expect them to do in IFS)
11. Respond to Material Handler's question about the distribution center activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities: There is no supervisory responsibility connected with this position.
Work Environment: General Warehouse. Low noise level.
Physical Demands: The person in this position needs to lift and move up to 70 lbs. and lift, move and carry up to 50 lbs. This position requires bending, squatting, and reaching. It also requires use of data entry terminal, hand truck, pallet jack, speedy packer, packing machine, stapler, forklift and reach lift.
Additional Qualifications: Fork lift certified.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position.
Monday – Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM
Travel: There is no travel associated with this position.
Required Education and Experience: Basic Skill and knowledge. Three months' experience.
