Kids Camp Counselor (Personal Services)
Shift: 4 week position - Monday - Thursday
Position Summary:
Assist in the daily operations of Kids Camp, including planning activities, supervising campers, and ensuring a safe and positive experience for all participants. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, creating a fun and engaging environment, and ensuring a safe and positive camp experience.
· Lead small groups of children through scheduled activities and encourage participation.
· Always monitor campers to ensure their safety and well-being.
· Assist with drop-off and pick-up, greeting parents and ensuring a smooth transition for campers.
· Encourage participation and teamwork among campers.
· Provide guidance, support, and encouragement to campers. Serve as a positive role model for campers.
· Communicate effectively with parents and camp staff.
· Know and implement emergency procedures (if needed).
· Be aware of campers' medical conditions, dietary restrictions, and allergies.
· Must enjoying interacting for extended periods of time with kids ages 7-12.
· Follow all camp policies and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
· Must follow all safe work practices, escalate unsafe conditions and report incidents.
· Assist in setting up and cleaning up activities, maintaining a tidy and organized camp environment.
· Respond to camper needs, resolving minor conflicts and escalating concerns as necessary.
