Bankruptcy Paralegal (Legal)
client interviews
acquiring records,
providing updates to the client,
maintaining the client's file,
performs calendar scheduling,
obtains files from previous attorneys, if necessary, for on-boarding clients and schedules consults.
The paralegal must at all times safeguard and protect the client's right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the client's confidential information and that all releases of information are in compliance with the request and authorization and the RLF's policies. This is an "in-office" position.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Associates Degree preferred. A High School Diploma or GED is required. Paralegal certification is highly desirable
5 - 10 Yeas experience as a paralegal preferred.
Possess general knowledge of bankruptcy procedures/laws.
Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to function effectively in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
Demonstrated ability to effectively organize workload and prioritize work tasks to meet goals.
Substantial client phone contact is required, so proven excellent customer service experience is essential.
Proficient English communication skills and the ability to give world-class customer service.
Attention to details is an absolute must.
Excellent computer skills are required with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Gmail; and Google Docs being desirable.
Familiarity with Best-case software (RLF's internal software) and 13Networkd (trustee's software) is very desirable
Ability to maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
