Description:
The Social Media Assistant supports the college's communication efforts by creating and managing engaging content across social media platforms. This role involves attending campus events, collaborating with students and faculty to highlight their stories, curating content from university sources, and maintaining a consistent posting schedule. The assistant also tracks monthly performance and ensures content aligns with institutional messaging.
Duties:
Creates and posts relevant content to the college's social media channels
Reaches out to students and faculty to incorporate their stories into social media content
Attends college events in order to obtain content for social media posts
Re-posts relevant content from the University and other related channels
Creates posts based on other University publications such as "Points of Pride" and UHD Magazine
Maintains an organized calendar of content with a productive rhythm of posting
Creates a monthly summary of all content posted in the previous month
