APEX prepares and serves breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday daytime hours. We are looking for a prep cook who can run our action cooking station. Earn PTO, Medical and a Sign on Bonus (terms apply). General Responsibilities Include: Prepare appropriately seasoned and cooked food to serve 250 daily corporate employees from a client-facing action station. Must have a desire and inclination to interact with people. We all eat with our eyes first.Follow daily/weekly menu set forth by and provide creative input on innovative and collaborative ideas of how to create client-requested or client-specific menu options for the action station based on sales and feedback.Adequately estimate daily station pars and mise en place based upon daily/weekly sales; check previous production logs to ensure par is met or exceeded.Fill out daily production logs to accurately plan future production of station and set-up station accordingly to include back-ups, utensils, signage, and price-labeled containers.Required to cross-train on multiple stations - action, grill, prep, and self-serve.Follow opening/closing/side work checklists - thoroughly clean and sanitize workstations. When service is slow, you are actively involved inside work and/or prep.Comply with all safety and sanitation standards, policies, and procedures. Label, date, FIFO, cooling and heating temperatures, deep cleaning. We are sticklers for health code adherence.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Chef or General Manager.
