Hybrid Apex-Specialist (Engineering)
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Load and unload trucks at Millard Lumber locations.Assist truck driver in navigating & setting up route, which is logistically sound.Assist truck driver to check load related documentation prior to departure for securement and accuracy.Deliver to correct jobsite as instructed by paperwork or dispatch office.Assist driver attach/detach from demountable truck boxesUse company issued mobile devices (GPS units and phones)Load or pickup (returns/credits) building materials on residential and commercial job sites.Use appropriate tools and supplies (i.e. straps, dolly) for deliveries and credits.Safely deliver various bulky or heavy cabinet components free from damageRead and understand delivery tickets and product identification.Follow specific instructions for product placement at jobsite.Maintains a proactive productivity level to ensure products are loaded and unloaded in a delicate and safe mannerWork with other Apex Division employees to ensure success of delivery and/or questions are answeredAddress and resolve customer issues as appropriate and informs dispatch of any outstanding issues related to the customer deliveriesPromptly reports any noticeable damage to productsPickup purchase orders from suppliers as neededPerform other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned.
Education/Experience
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.Minimum of 1-year in transportation & logistics.Forklift experience, Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) experience a plus
Other Requirements
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physicalWork morning/evening hours during the week, required weekendsMaintenance of regular attendance

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work is perform within jobsite and yard environment subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dustPerform activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materialsMust be able to safely squat, bend, climb, lift/carry up to 80 lbs., grasp, talk, hear, standing/walking for prolonged periodsReaching at or above shoulder level and below waist and have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
