Tele Sitter Monitor Technician (Healthcare)

Job Summary

As a Tele Sitter Monitor Technician (TMST), you will fulfill the requirements of a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and, based on the needs of the hospital, will alternate between providing direct patient care as a CNA and performing continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients as a TSMT.

Responsibilities

• Verbally redirecting patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors.
• Summoning nursing staff for assistance, as necessary.
• Adhering to patient and institutional confidentiality.
• Following all related hospital policies. 

Experience:

• One year of acute patient care experience preferred.

Skills:

• Computer skills preferred.
• Technical competence and effective communication skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Physical stamina to perform required tasks (lifting, standing, walking)

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Licensures/Certification:

• Current Certified Nurse Assistant certification.
• BLS certification.
• LA City Fire Card certification within 30 days of hire.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MOAB) training within 30 days of employment. 

Salary Range: $23.00 to $28.56 Per Hour
