Position Summary:
As a member of the YMCA of Snohomish County associations human resources team, provide upbeat, full-cycle support to staff and supervisors in various aspects. The focus is managing a multitude of general HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, backup payroll and other HR-related activities.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
HR Administration
Manage staff files entered into Kronos/UKG systems, keep documents up to date in employee filesOversee New Employee and Rehire OnboardingOversee minor authorization forms and minor complianceOversee and manage pre-employment TB screenings for child care, manage drug testing protocolsProcess criminal and state background checks for employees and potential employees using internet resourcesWork with third party vendor(s) on unemployment, workers compensation claims and employee verificationsTrack, manage and complete annual OSHA reporting including submitting OSHA Form 300 and posting OSHA Form 300A at all branches Manage and complete annual EEO ReportingSupport HR department as needed; complete other duties as assigned
Recruitment
Manage and troubleshoot all aspects of Kronos/UKG Talent and Acquisition module and workflow management Receive, manage and process all Job Requisition requests while maintaining online job postings at various job boards (Y website, Indeed, iHire, Aquatics Job Network etc.) and notify job openings to YMCA staffOversee applicant reference check system (Harver)Process, document and pay monthly recruitment bills
Payroll
Payroll support backup: know, complete and process payroll as neededAssist in receiving, processing and inputting merit increases as well as yearly minimum wage increasesAssist with creating newly created cost centers, staff cost center adjustments, and secondary job requests in UKG system as needed to support Benefits/Payroll
Qualifications:
SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred One or more years experience in human resources required, using standard Microsoft Office Suite, office equipment and customized software Non-profit experience required; prefer a candidate with past experience or exposure in a variety of focus areas, including child care, aquatics, marketing, youth programming, etc. Knowledge and experience in onboarding, benefits, and employee relations preferred Understanding and knowledge of current regulations, current practices, and applicable laws preferred Detail-oriented and able to work independently; have excellent organizational, time management and decision making skills; and the flexibility to change priorities as required must be responsive and meet absolute deadlines Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including positive interaction with staff and vendors Ability to speak, write, and understand English clearly and concisely; and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work Fluency in second language preferred Ability to exercise sensitivity in dealing with individuals of diverse socio-economic backgrounds, cognitive and physical abilities as well as individuals of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds Ability to maintain confidential information and keep proper discretion/good judgement Satisfactory result from credit background check is required due to access to bank information, payment processing and position of trust Knowledge of YMCA programs and practices preferred
