SBA Small Loan Coordinating Manager (Finance)
Work with applicants, loan officers, and outside referral sources for the receipt of loan applications and applicable documents, with a reliance on bank software to automate and streamline the process.
Review the application for completeness and collect any missing items.
Ensure the bank software provides all applicable metrics and verify that the calculations for debt service coverage, etc are correct.
Recommend approval as appropriate and work with the decision maker regarding the approval or decline.
Convey the decision to the borrower, as well as loan officer and/or outside referral source. Generate approval or decline letter and either collect any additional Good Faith Deposit (GFD) funds or refund any funds if necessary.
Perform required due diligence in conjunction with loan approval to ensure bank is in the proper lien position, there are no unexpected issues, etc.
Submit approved loan to the SBA via Etran for approval. Resolve any hold codes.
Prepare loan documents, ensuring the documents are complete and accurate, and ensure the borrower(s) and all guarantors execute the documents correctly.
Work with Loan Ops regarding funding of the loan.
Work with other areas of the bank as needed, including providing necessary information for the bank to sell the loans on the secondary market, etc.
Respond to any issues highlighted by the post-close audit to ensure loan file is complete.
Transfer completed loan file to servicing.
Maintain a work area that ensures the safety and confidentiality of all customer records and transactions.
Understand and comply with Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering Policies and Procedures as appropriate.
Confidently embody the values of CBT.
Represent Community Bankshares Inc and/or its subsidiaries in the community and at community events as appropriate.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
High degree of ability to process and handle multiple commercial loan requests simultaneously.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Demonstrated excellence in working with peer teams across organizations.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and banking software programs and platforms.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree or higher.
Five (5) years' experience in SBA lending, preferably in both credit and closing.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
