As part of Financial Management (FM) Transformation, the Expense Management Technology (eTech) team is seeking a creative, action-oriented individual with an entrepreneurial attitude and successful decision-making abilities to lead one of our Expense Transformation workstreams as a Finance Director.
Our vision for FM Transformation, which is aligned to Prudential's vision and strategy, is to power exceptional business, customer, and employee outcomes through efficient, high-integrity and timely financial reporting and analysis that enable rapid and intelligent financial and business decisions.
Under the FM Transformation umbrella, eTech is embarking on a journey to develop an Expense Management Platform (EMP). The future state EMP is a central place where a budget owner or other supporting stakeholder can build, manage, and assess their organization's expenses in a self-service way. The build of the EMP sits on 4 key pillars, or themes. (1) AI and Machine Learning (2) Data (3) Stakeholder Management and (4) Business Intelligence. These pillars guide the build out of the platform, and once complete, will serve as the Enterprise's central place for expense management. The eTech organization integrates product management with the day-to-day reporting and forecasting responsibilities of the various expense categories to streamline like processes while remaining a key voice of the customer as the EMP is built.

The Finance Director will assist in the integration of like processes into one streamlined reporting, forecasting, and expense management process for the expense category. They will lead a team with functional knowledge of the category to develop one reporting solution and work with the Product Owner of the category to integrate into the EMP.
Some (but not all) of the busy periods in this job will be cyclical, while others will based on the peaks of deliverables, addressing hurdles along the way, and meeting key milestones. Some of the busy times may be predictable, while others may not.
The current EWA for this position can be either Hybrid or remote. If Hybrid, requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your manager. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. If remote, travel on at least a quarterly basis, and perhaps monthly, will be required.
In an Agile manner, lead the integration of a singular forecasting and reporting solution for the category, while working with Product Owners to develop an integrated product that fits seamlessly into the developing EMP
Lead a team to forecast, report, and manage the expenses for the category
Work with the product teams providing input as a customer, to develop the requirements for the product builds
Field adhoc requests for analysis on the category
Remain positive and inspiring during demanding situations and drive others to be part of the solution understanding that this job is not about knowing the right answer, but finding it
~7 years of well diversified experience in a corporate environment preferably within Process Improvement, Expense Management, Data Analytics and Model Building, and/or driving Business outcomes and decision making
A tech and customer focused mindset which will drive product ideation and implementation
Experience leading teams focused on expense management, process improvement, and data management and model building
Expertise in business level financial and strategic analysis
Demonstrated success in achieving long-term goals while managing short-term challenges
Experience with solution ideation, design, and implementation
Excellent project management and business partnering skills, along with strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
Technical skills for business intelligence – including dashboarding, database modeling, etc.
MBA, CPA, CFA or Data Modeling or Analytics credentials, a plus
