Sr Technician, Facilities (BAS Controls) (Finance)
The work related to Building Automation & Controls (BAS), ensuring the optimal utilization of the city's facilities by monitoring and adjusting our building automation system and coordinating with our heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians to help test and diagnose systems to determine what is causing issues and discuss solutions, ensuring proper functioning of facilities through ongoing oversight, inspection and maintenance. This position is also involved with planning for major renovations and new construction projects to collaborate with project teams to provide input on selecting building systems to minimize our energy use and work toward meeting our city's climate goals. This position is also involved with closing out of projects to help coordinate commissioning of our building systems to ensure equipment is operating as per the design intent. #INDHP
This position is required to maintain a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) certification; employment is contingent upon the successful completion of the CJIS Security Awareness
training and certifying assessment and initiation of the fingerprinting/ background check within the first thirty (30) days of employment. The CJIS course with exam takes one day and is paid for by the State of Colorado. For more details, see the Required Certifications\" section below.

Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and calibrate buildings' Direct Digital Control Energy Management and control systems.Interprets engineering drawings and mechanical equipment manuals.Evaluates building summary reports using specific field hardware/software.Makes periodic system checkout and cleanup.Maintains records of work completed and parts used in work completed.May prepare bids or recommend option for replacing, repairing or adding to the Direct Digital Control Energy Management equipment or systems.Develop and implement energy conservation reduction measures.Works with project teams to update and maintain as-built drawings of HVAC control sequences.May serve as a member of the City's Energy Management Team.
