View Point Health Child and Adolescent (C&A) Crisis Stabilization Program is a short-term, 24/7 residential crisis unit located in Decatur, Ga. The Crisis Stabilization program provides psychiatric crisis intervention and stabilization services to adolescents between the ages of 14 and 17 years old.
We are looking for a masters Level Behavioral Health Clinician to join our multi-disciplinary team as an Admissions Clinician to provide screening/review of referrals for admission and assessment of psychiatric/addictions risk/needs of individuals referred for care. We provide person-centered care and assist with implementing our unit programming based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
The Admissions Clinician Triage provides a variety of routine clinical and administrative functions for the Crisis Stabilization Unit programs. Duties are typically performed in a fast-paced environment that requires multi-tasking.
A Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) operates 24 hours/7 days a week (including weekends and holidays) to provide a safe, structured, and locked environment for clients experiencing a mental health crisis. The services are like residential treatment but provide a higher level of care due to our acuity of the clients who are in crisis. Our units operate much like a psychiatric hospital.
A client typically stays with us about 30 days to ensure he/she is stable from the prompting event of their crisis prior to discharge. Clients do not leave the facility during their stay with us.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Conducting assessment as well as completes and regularly updates treatment plan.Facilitating and documenting groups.Providing discharge planning.Completes authorizations and re-authorizations within required time frames.Implementing case management/ linking services with community continuum of care.Clinical support based on Dialectical Behavior Therapy.Attend treatment team daily to discuss client progress and 72 hour treatment reviews.Document ongoing client progress.Gathering collateral information from family members.Assisting with visitation as needed.Rotation of evening group and weekend coverage.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND eligibility to be licensed AND Two years of supervised experience in the area of assignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) or more years of experience working with children and adolescents in an inpatient facility. Open to unlicensed (with completed masters degree and license eligible), Associate license, or fully licensed applicants.Experience and/or knowledge of DBT preferred.LPC, LCSW, LAPC, LMSW license preferred.Interventions, Diagnosing, Treatment PlansExperience with Care Logic or other EMRIs comfortable and proficient with collaborative & concurrent documentation.Experience in trauma-informed care, or trauma related interventions and skills
Requirements/Competencies:
This position is on-site and does not accommodate a remote schedule or working from home.Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.Any combination of training and experience, which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.Other duties as assigned.
