Riverview Power Holdings, LLC is recruiting for an Operations and Maintenance Technician at our Wichita Falls Cogeneration Plant in Wichita Falls, TX. Wichita Falls is a 77 megawatt electric power generation facility using GE gas combustion turbines with associated heat recovery steam generators and an ABB steam generator. The facility was awarded with multiple Certificates of Recognition by the City of Wichita Falls, Texas for its achievements in environmental excellence including pollution prevention, waste minimization, and water conservation.
Technical & Academic Qualifications
Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, blueprints, and other industrial maintenance documentation.
Must have a working knowledge of electrical, cooling water, natural gas/LP, demineralizer, water treatment and steam cycle systems.
Able to monitor turbine panels and DCS.
Demonstrated attention and commitment to safety and company procedures.
Technical Degree, Military Technical Training, Power Plant Technician. Certification, or a high school diploma/GED with equivalent experience.
Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
Follow all safety policies and practices as dictated by the Company.
Monitor control panels, meters, and gauges with respect to the plant, including control room and local mounted meters and gauges.
Control the power output including reducing load or shutting down one or more turbines or entire plant.
Maintain oral and/or electronic communications with the QSE 24 hours per day and responding to directions as requested; increase communication during emergencies.
Maintain plant and equipment in a continuous state of repair and free of hazardous and unsafe conditions.
Synchronize plant to the grid and maintain output as scheduled by the QSE
Look for plant efficiencies and recommend improvements.
Maintain compliance with the air emission, wastewater discharge permits and all NERC requirements.
Assist in the repair of all plant equipment.
Perform necessary testing and maintain appropriate residuals in all water and steam systems to prevent scale or corrosion.
Maintain records on all PM's, repairs and testing on plant equipment.
Maintain control room operator, rover and all DCS generated logs.
Working Conditions & Requirements
Mechanical, high-speed rotating equipment, high pressure natural gas, and high pressure/temperature steam.
Exposure to adverse temperatures and weather conditions.
Exposure to high electrical voltage and hazardous chemicals.
Shall be able to wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE).
Position will typically require a standard 40 hour dayshift work week, but will also require flexibility in accommodating overtime and extended shift work under peak demand periods.
Duties will rotate every other day between the inside control room and roving operating outside.

Able to lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds.
Able to lift, bend, stoop, twist, turn, reach, kneel, climb, grab, push, pull, and work in confined spaces.
