Military Advisor to Pres & CEO (Finance)
The Military Advisor provides input to the President and CEO based on their significant service background and attends as well as represents the President and CEO on occasion as necessary in internal and external meetings, and communicating with internal and external parties where desired. Assists with day-to-day activities, including assigned special projects. This is a high intensity position that requires a strong knowledge of the population served by the company, communication skills, and leadership capability.
Education & Experience
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
• U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
• Significant military service background, including time in combat
• Knowledge of the DoD and VA health systems
• Strong communication skills
• Strong writing and editing and skills
• Strong leadership capability
Preferred:
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related field
Key Responsibilities
• Based on their significant military service background attends as well as represents the President and CEO on occasion as necessary in internal and external meetings, and communicating with internal and external parties where desired.
• Works directly for the President and CEO on projects and activities as requested.
• Accompanies the senior executive to high level meetings.
• Facilitates communication, coordination and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the President and CEO.
• Anticipates issues and opportunities and advises senior executive accordingly.
• Develops and maintains necessary tracking matrices and deliverables.
• Maintains knowledge of contracts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Technical Skills: Proficient in current trends in health care management with emphasis in customer service, network management, utilization and financial trends; collaboration skills to work with TriWest management team across multiple locations; networking skills with all levels, including subcontractors.
Working Conditions

• Works non-regular hours as required, including weekends
• Works within a standard office environment, with moderate travel based on business needs
