Land Survey Party/Crew Chief (Engineering)
The Field Crew/Party Chief will collect field measurements and data and provide stake-out at the direction of the Survey Project Manager or office technician. The technician must be willing to work outside year round and must be capable of moderate to full physical activity. Also responsible for collecting all required field data for the preparation of a variety of surveying projects for both public and private clients and utilizing DPK's state-of-the-art instrumentation, which includes robotic total stations, and GNSS/GPS. On larger projects, the position may also include some supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Functions
Prepare field notes, photographs and sketches
Collect boundary and topographic field measurements
Responsible downloading conventional and GPS field data
Recover and measure real property evidence
Perform construction layout
Ability to rotate, translate and calculate survey points in the field
Equipment maintenance and calibration
Oversees the training & development of the Assistant Field Technician
On site client communication
Participate in Health and Safety Program
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has limited supervisory responsibilities
