Job Description

The Consumer Auto Specialist position is responsible for accurate and timely preparation of all Motor Vehicle loan documents including titled and non-titled auto related loan documents. The Consumer Auto Specialist will review and evaluate all member supplied information and all supporting documentation including but not limited to purchase orders, title work, lease buyout packages, and sales tax to assemble a completely documented file for closing. The Consumer Auto Specialist is also responsible for ensuring all credit requirements are collected and funding loan transactions ensuring any liens are paid in full as to not effect Ent's perfection of title.

Essential Functions

  • Process auto loans to include: Researching compliance issues, communicating information to all parties involved in the transaction, meeting underwriting conditions, resolving issues, validating data, and updating systems with accurate information. Determine the need for and calculating sales tax based on city, state, and county requirements. Schedule loan closing by using Docusign, Ent Branch, or needing to mail loans for documented to be executed. Generate closing documents, while adhering to all state DMV policies. Analyze and complete all motor vehicle title documents, submit to appropriate state to ensure credit union lien perfection, and ensure member's ability to transfer ownership and register vehicle as applicable. Facilitate ongoing title training classes. Funding loans, determine if all necessary loan and title documents have been properly executed and received, disburse loan proceeds, properly upload all documents to Synergy.
  • Manage outstanding motor vehicles title reports to ensure adherence of required fulfillment timelines.
  • Handles email and phone requests.
  • Assists with name and state to state change requests from members.
  • Assigned to the team rotation to complete the Paid Loans report, locates paper titles to be released, ELT releases and GAP cancellations. Assists with distribution of mail including FedEx and UPS deliveries.
  • Bank Secrecy Act: Remains cognizant of and adheres to Ent policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Qualifications

Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar preferred
  • 4+ years' experience motor vehicle titling / lien perfecting in a consumer lending environment, titling office, or dealership to include:
  • 2+ years' experience in Consumer Lending Processing
Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be substituted for a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a master's degree in accounting and 0 years of work experience.

Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Mastery of motor vehicle documents and requirements for all transaction types, including Private party purchases, Dealer purchases, Lease buy-outs, Refinance transactions, and Free and clear titles.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of auto loan products.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to train others, and develop clear and concise policy, procedure, and training curriculum recommendations
  • Strong ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to analyze member and state provided motor vehicle documentation
  • Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Organized, detail oriented and ability to multi-task.

Additional Information

The pay range for this position is: $22 to $28 per Hour (S13)

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, and internal pay equity.

This position is eligible for an incentive plan.
