Senior Network Administrator (Finance)
Job Description Summary:
To take a lead role in designing, implementing, monitoring and supporting the network systems including security, Active Directory, Citrix, and Microsoft Exchange.
Job Description:
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Oversee operation, support, and maintenance of all networked servers
• Responsible for maintaining proper security and appropriate access to data and network
• Manage Active Directory, DNS and group policy objects (GPOs)
• Manage and implement and support all Citrix servers and published applications
• Create users and groups and assign appropriate access rights
• Oversee operation, support, and maintenance of network infrastructure devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and VPN concentrators on multiple LANs and WANs
• Monitor and maintain the backup of all data on network servers and storage devices
• Maintain accurate inventory of network related capital assets
• Coordinate and schedule blocks of time for network outages for routine maintenance
• Assist in the development and implementation of network security and related policies and procedures
• Develop and implement disaster recovery plan
• Investigate & resolve operations problems
• Test and recommend network administration and monitoring tools
• Report regularly to Director of Network Services on status of IT projects
• Perform data restores from backup as required
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned
MINIMUM SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• BA or BS college degree in Computer Science, Business or related field, or equivalent experience
• 5 years computer -related experience with PC concepts and LAN/WAN technology
• In depth knowledge of and experience managing and implementing Citrix servers, published applications and secure gateways.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in administering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, domain controllers, login scripts and group policy objects (GPO).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with network security.
• 5 years experience in Microsoft Windows Server operating system and experience implementing and managing such servers including applying security patches.
• Minimum of 5 years of knowledge and experience with network infrastructure devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and VPN concentrators.
• Familiarity with and experience supporting Exchange and Outlook
• Knowledgeable about backup systems
• Knowledge of Cisco router and switch configuration
• A strong understanding of TCPIP, subnets and routing
• Effective interpersonal skills and supervisory skills
• Effective English written and verbal communication skills
• Problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and see difficult tasks through to completion
• Show initiative and sense of ownership for assigned duties
