IT Technician I (Engineering)

Essential Job Functions:
Tech Installation Extraordinaire: Install, assemble, and configure computers, monitors, network infrastructures, and peripherals like printers and scanners. Get hands-on with pulling cables and rewiring for new installations and office reconfigurations.Network Guru: Create and maintain network system user accounts, ensuring smooth and secure access for all users.Troubleshooting Wizard: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with computer systems, hardware, software, email, network, and peripheral equipment. Perform necessary repairs and corrections to keep everything running smoothly.Help Desk Hero: Act as a technical resource, assisting users with equipment and data problems. Operate our centralized help desk to provide timely solutions and advice.Hardware and Software Advisor: Make recommendations for hardware and software acquisitions, helping users assess their needs and providing justification for new equipment and services.Staff Trainer: Instruct staff on the use of standard business and administrative software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and database management. Provide instruction and documentation as needed.Tech Innovator: Assist with planning, designing, researching, and acquiring new or upgraded hardware and software systems. Stay updated on the latest tech trends and recommend modifications to keep us ahead of the curve.IP Address Manager: Input and maintain IP addresses, ensuring seamless network connectivity.Security Sentinel: Assist the IT Director in protecting our systems from security breaches, computer viruses, and cyber-attacks. Monitor technology security and immediately report any breaches.Resource Researcher: Research current and potential resources and services to keep us equipped with the best tools and technologies.Maintenance Maestro: Maintain logs and lists of required repairs and maintenance. Prepare hardware for disposal, ensuring it is stripped and secured appropriately.Confidentiality Champion: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee, resident, and business information.Tech Trainer: Train staff about potential uses of existing technology and security measures. Provide recommendations on accessing information and support.Inventory Manager: Keep a current and accurate inventory of all technology hardware, software, and resources.Tech Enthusiast: Stay updated on new hardware, software, and network operating systems to keep us at the forefront of technology.Versatile Team Player: Perform other related duties as required and assigned, always ready to lend a helping hand.
