Project Controls Engineer (Finance)

Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Projects Control Engineer to join our Technical Advisory team.
This role will be mostly performed remotely however we are ideally looking for candidates living in the New York or New Jersey areas as there will be some client visits to attend.
In this role, you will be responsible for the complex analysis and review of project schedules, regular use of Primavera P6 software and the generation of reports and presentations for client meetings. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in scheduling on large-scale utility projects, Hydropower generation, Transmission Line, and Substation related projects. Experience in performing retrospective and prospective delay analyses is a plus.
Role accountabilities:
• Review and analyze complex construction schedules and provide opinions, advice and reports as necessary on project progress as well as predictions of the work using Primavera P6
• Attend meetings and advise client of actual progress and related cost implications.
• Review and develop construction baseline schedules including resource and cost loading
• Review and analyze construction claims and provide opinions, advice and reports as necessary on contractual entitlement and quantification of damages suitable for use in dispute resolution proceedings
• CPM scheduling and hands-on use of Primavera P6 software for project controls and evaluation of delays.
• Report writing & preparation of charts & graphs to support and present analyses.
• Review, analyze and/or develop Time Impact Analyses (TIA), retrospective delay analyses
• Review and analysis of power/utility and electrical design engineering drawings
• Development of program schedules based on the 30%, 60% and 90% design engineering drawings
• Identification of potential design and engineering conflicts and coordination of activities and work sequences in construction schedules with the various stakeholders
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other closely related field
• 5 years of Scheduling or Project Controls Engineering experience
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook, is required
• AACE Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP)
• Good prior experience with large-scale utility projects, especially Hydropower generation, Transmission Line, and Electrical Substation related projects

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $105,000- $150,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
